A few of my friends own properties abroad. They like it that they can go on a short vacation without the need to stay in a hotel. What they usually do is stay in their own apartment or house they bought for this very reason.

I am not sure if I am a fan of staying in hotels or not, but the idea of owning a property abroad sounds tempting to me. What do you think about it? Is it worth it to have a property in a foreign country? One thing that scares me is owning a property in a country the language of which I might not know. I am aware of the fact that not everybody in the world speaks English.
